New Urban Route in Badalona.
Starting from the 27 of febuary, Badalona has a new route: the BD5, covering an area of 10,7km.
The start of this line is inline with the Metropolitan Organizantion's performance plan for 2006, expanding the coverage and amplifying the services for the Badalona area.
The new BD5 route.
The route starts from Avda. Marqués de San Mori in Llefià, near the 'Mercado de La salut' and the future site of the L9 metro station 'La Salut'.
From that point, the route makes it way through Llefià, Sistrells Lloreda and Sant Crist, from where it cross the motorway and makes its way around the Raval, Progrés and the centre until it reaches the main RENFE station, the end of its route.
Throughout the new route, the BD5 passes by places of interest to passengers, such as; civic centres, schools, welfare offices, markets, new residential zones and the metro station Pep Ventura (L2).
The route operates 7 days a week from 7am till 10pm, at 20 minute intervals.
4 'Microbuses' for the new route.
Due to the nature of the route, it will be serviced by 4 new 'microbuses', which because of the size, will enable for greater mobility than a conventional bus could provide.
The four microbuses on this route are part of a group of 11 new smaller vehicules that TUSGSAL and the Metropolitan Transport have incorparated into their service as part of the '06 performance plan and the renovation of the fleet.

FROM THE 19TH OF DECEMBER 2006 WE ARE MAKING IMPROVMENTS TO THE B18 ROUTE.
FROM: Santa Coloma de Gramanet (Santa Rosa)
TO: Montcada i Reixac (Pl. Luis Companys)
Every 35 minutes
From the 19th of December a new vehicle will be added to the B18 route that will reduce the interval on working days by every 35 minutes instead of the 60 minutes that it has been up until now. Once the building work has finished on the new line, the bus will be available at intervals of every 30 minutes.

The metropolitan Night Bus has extended its services.
GROWTH AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE NITBUS
This important set of improvements established by the Entitat Metropolita del Transporte for the Nitbus service started on the night of the 23rd of November.
The improvements made to the metropolitan night bus system are as follows:
New line N5
The N5 goes from Pl. Catalunya to Carmel by way of Pg. de Gràcia and Balmes. This new line integrates with the other 17 lines forming the bus system.
Improvments to interval times
The new intervals in lines N0, N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8 N9 and N11 is 20 minutes on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and on the eve of holiday.
Timetables have been extended
Lines N1, N2, N3, N6, N8, N9 and N11 have a new extended timetable and they start earlier and finish later to adapt their service to the timetable of the tube and day bus system.
More coverage
The routes N2, N3, N4, N6, N8 and N11 have been modified and extended to go further serving some areas where the night bus system did not cover beforehand. With the extension of these routes and the new N5 route, the bus system now has 30 km more and 100 new bus stops.
Restructure of line N7
Line N7 has been completely restructured. Now its itinerary passes pl. Catalunya and is extended until Diagonal Mar and the Forum one way, and to Sarrià and Pedralbes the other way.
Changes in pl. Catalunya
The changes on the routes of some lines means that there have been changes to thier stops in pl. Catalunya.
Nigth bus fleet grows
In order to attend timetables improvement and routes extensions, 21 new vehicles has been added. With these incorporations, the bus fleet on service on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and on the eve of holiday has grown from 60 to 81 vehicles. The rest of the days, there are 56 buses circulating.
Improvements will continue
The Entidad Metropolitana del Transporte is preparing another set of improvements starting in the spring of 2007. They will be a very important step to provide the citizens a night bus system satisfying the necessity of night transport in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.

BADALONA - SANT ADRIÀ DE BESÒS. LINE BD7. NEW URBAN BUS LINE INNAUGURATION.
From October 23rd of 2006, a new urban bus line will be start. This bus line will be called BD7 and will connect Sant Adrià de Besòs (RENFE Station) with Badalona (Av. Martí i Pujol).

BD0, A NEW ROUTE FOR CAN RUTI
From the 9th of october tusgsal are pleased to annouce the start of a new route serving the public in Can Ruti. A circular route the new BD0 will run every 15 minutes, everyday, from the plaça where the other routes (B19,B24,B26 and B27) to the Hospital Germans Trais i pujol, the Institute Guttmann and the Tanatorio.
The new route is part of the integral ticketing system, so the bus can be used with the same tickets as purchased on the other services (execpt for a single ticket), without having to purchase a new ticket.
From now on, with the start of the new route it will be easier for the neighbourhood and especially the Tanatorio.

EXTENSION TO ROUTE BD4 TO MONTIGALÀ
From the 9th of October 2006, the BD4 route is to be extended to cover the area of Montigalá. The new start and finish of the route is from Carrer Anna Tugas near the Centro Comerical Montigala and next to the Centro Sociosanitari El Carme.
The extension of the BD4 route opens new public transport options to the areas os Sistrells, Lloreda and Montigala, and makes it much easier for the people who use the services at the Centro Sociosanitari EL Carme.
